Prepaid · No contract · Balance never expires

Prepaid Travel eSIM

Prepaid is a simple promise: pay first, use later — no contract, no end-of-month surprise. Rivio takes it one step further: the balance you load never expires. Unlike the 7- or 30-day tourist passes carriers sell, whatever you don't use stays in your account and picks up right where it left off on your next trip.

How is it different from a carrier tourist pass?

US carrier tourist eSIMs (think T-Mobile US Pass or AT&T Prepaid) are single-country, fixed-term packages: after 30 days the leftover data is gone, and leaving the country means buying again. A Rivio prepaid balance is tied to your account, not to a country — the same balance works in 150+ countries, and you never race a calendar.

Prepaid eSIM for the USA

Visiting the United States doesn't require a separate package: the same Rivio balance works across America at the local per-GB rate, attaching automatically to 5G partner networks. See the USA eSIM page for current rates and carrier details — the route from New York to Miami makes no difference.

How it works

1

Download the app, create a free account and choose one of the balance amounts shown in the app.

2

After adding balance, install your eSIM via QR code over reliable Wi-Fi. There is no fixed bundle, forced renewal or subscription.

3

At your destination, select Rivio for mobile data and enable data roaming for Rivio. After connecting to a partner network, usage is metered per MB against your balance.

On iPhone? Follow the step-by-step iPhone eSIM setup guide, or check the supported devices list first.

Frequently asked questions

What does prepaid eSIM mean? +

It's an eSIM you pay for before you use it — no contract, no monthly bill. Your card can't be surprised at the end of the month, because you can only spend what you've loaded. Nearly all travel eSIMs are prepaid; the differences show up in validity and coverage.

How is Rivio different from carrier prepaid packages? +

Carrier tourist passes are single-country and fixed-term; when the clock runs out, leftover data is deleted. With Rivio the balance you load has no expiry, works in 150+ countries on the same eSIM, and switches carriers automatically at borders.

Does the balance really never expire? +

Correct. The balance behaves like money in your account, not a quota with a countdown. The $4 left over from a March trip is right there for the September flight.

Which networks does it use in the USA? +

In the US it attaches automatically to 5G partner networks; no settings change when you move between cities. Current rates and carrier details live on the USA country page and in the app.

Does it include a phone number? +

Rivio is a data-only eSIM — no number included. Your own number stays active on your primary SIM, and calls run over WhatsApp, FaceTime and similar apps.

How much should I load? +

Typical usage is ~300 MB a day, so a 10-day trip needs roughly $8-10 of balance in most countries. Running low? Topping up takes seconds in the app — and nothing you load is ever lost.
